(May 17th, 2012) School Visit in Ivanovichi Village—Today we joined the Ivanovichi Village school to discuss our Project “Dialog”. The event was two-fold. We began with an organized tour of their museum. The school administration gave us an in-depth look at the historical background of the area, and a group of young students eagerly provided a side-tour in English for us. The participants in the tour were a group of five Pulin center widows, and two teens. Upon completion of the tour, Director of PCBC Nadiya Siryk, gave a thorough presentation on our center activities and engaged the widows, teens, local students and teachers to recognize generation differences and the importance of acceptance and understanding . The younger and older generations built a dialog and had moving conversations. It was a wonderful time.
