School Sessions (Communication)

(January 25, 2012) Continuing our outreach to the local schools, PCBC met with the 11th form students to educate them on Communication. Director, Nadiya Siryk, gave them a fun activity in which the students drew a picture using back-to-back verbal instruction. It was a great lesson!

(November 1,2,3,8, 2011) We met with the local school of Chervonoarmis’k to educate the students and teachers on Active Listening. Active listening is a communication technique that is taught to the teens during our Teen Discussions and we feel that it is important to educate the local school teachers because they serve as an example to their students. Our sessions consisted of fun activities and thorough discussions on how to become active listeners. The ability to listen actively can improve personal relationships through reducing conflicts, strengthening cooperation, and fostering understanding.
